Round Table – FBGen

Future Business Generation (FBGen), Brisbane committee took their first step in developing their Impact Agenda for 2018. Inviting a diverse range of stakeholders from industry, business, government and higher education, to be a part of a roundtable discussion.

The objective was to have a discussion through the lens of QLD4.0 and what it means for different stakeholders and their sectors to inform and enable the FBGen committee to identify where their efforts should be focused to be impactful the future of work, skills, business transition, government activity.

The Roundtable was in the context of World4.0 representing the broadest, deepest and fastest transition for humanity in history;

• Technological change

• Globalisation

• Demographic shifts

• De-carbonising economies

• Climate change

In the knowledge that millennials too will make a bigger difference than previous generations to the way business operates and the markets they serve, and how governments and communities are shaped.

The outcomes of this discussion included fostering a stronger presence of youth leadership in government, creating a visual representation of the world that millennials want to live in -Future of Work -Future of Play -Future of Education, as well as defining key roles and responsibilities young people can engage in the workplace.

Others were developed and will be shared shortly, make sure to stay in the loop for the FBGen 2018 agenda release. And if you’re a millennial passionate about the future get involved – join the FBGen movement!
